Why can’t I go swimming on Animal Crossing?
There’s no point in swimming in Animal Crossing: New Horizons if you don’t know how to dive. To dive, just press Y while you’re in the water. Your character will dive under the waves, and from there, you can just use the usual swimming controls to move around–A to swim, joystick to move around.

To go swimming and diving in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, you’re going to need to have a swim suit. You can quite simply buy these from the cabinet in Nook’s Cranny, or by redeeming Nook Miles at the terminal in the Resident Services Building.
Do you need a snorkel to swim in Animal Crossing?
Although Nintendo sends every Animal Crossing: New Horizons player a snorkeling mask for downloading and installing the update, these are not actually required; they just add to the look. What is required is a wetsuit, which can be purchased via the Nook Shopping App or at Nook’s Cranny.

How can I go swimming on my period?
Swimming during your period isn’t a problem. However, you will want to use a tampon when swimming so you don’t bleed on your swimsuit. Pads won’t work and will just fill with water. The tampon won’t fall out if it is inserted correctly, so go ahead and make a splash!
How do you catch a shark in Animal Crossing?
In the southern hemisphere, sharks can only be caught between December – March. To find sharks around your island, look out for large fish shadows with fins on top. When you see one, go ahead and toss out your line like normal. Wait for the shark to bite, and then reel it in.
Can you use the pool in Animal Crossing?
